Applicants must meet the definition of a ‘refugee’. You should book a consultation with a migration agent prior to lodging this type of visa. Establishing that you or a family member are a ‘refugee’ has many complex aspects to it, and you should ensure that you will be able to meet this criteria prior to lodging this visa.
If you have been previously granted any Refugee Visa (Subclass 200, 201, 203 or 204) or Global Special Humanitarian Visa (Subclass 202) your family members may be eligible to migrate under Australia’s split-family provisions.
